Attorney General Alan Wilson announces adoption of Exam Validity Extension Programs for Broker-Dealer Agents and Investment Adviser Representatives

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson today announced that South Carolina has adopted the Broker-Dealer Agent Exam Validity Extension Program (AG EVEP)  and the Investment Adviser Representative Exam Validity Extension Program (IAR EVEP) coordinated by the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). Eligible individuals now have the opportunity to extend all NASAA examinations for up to five years through the AG EVEP and the IAR EVEP programs for their South Carolina registrations.

“With these adoptions, individuals can now enroll all of their eligible NASAA exams into the applicable exam validity extension programs,” said Alan Wilson, “The program is designed to provide flexibility for currently registered persons who, for various reasons, may need to leave and then return to the industry.”

Eligible individuals may enroll in the EVEP programs through their Financial Professional Gateway (FinPro) account to extend their Series 63, Series 65 and Series 66 exams for up to five years by paying an annual fee of $35 for each program and maintaining compliance with program requirements.
