Concerning the resignation sent to the Governor by the Acting Mayor and council members of the town of New Ellington, and inquiring whether the Governor is authorized to accept the resignations of an Acting Mayor and council members of a municipality. If so, what happens if he refuses to accept these resignations, and if accepted, who is to govern the town of New Ellington until elections can be held and new council members take office?
