Spartanburg man sentenced to prison for child pornography

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – March 18, 2019 - A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to prison for possessing child pornography. On December 13, 2018, David Mark Dagostino, represented by Tom Quinn, pleaded guilty to one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, 3rd Degree, in front of Judge Grace Knie in Spartanburg County. Between October 2016 and May 2017, Dagostino distributed multiple files of child pornography to both Lucinda McKellar and Kevin Atkins with the SC Attorney General’s Office.  After executing a search warrant at the defendant’s residence, additional files of child pornography were located on his computer equipment.

On March 14, 2019, Dagostino was sentenced to 10 years in prison, suspended upon five years (three years in prison and two years of home detention), to be followed by five years of probation.  Dagostino must register as a sex offender and he consented to the forfeiture of his computer equipment.
