Greenville County Men Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - May 7, 2019 - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Norman Newton Winkles (age 50) of  Marietta, SC, and Robert Cintron (age 57) of Greenville, SC, on 10 charges each connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.  Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office made the arrest.  Investigators with the Attorney General's Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), both also members of the state's ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigations.

 

Investigators state Winkles distributed child pornography and both Winkles and Cintron possessed files of child pornography. 

 

Winkles was arrested on April 23, 2019 with additional charges filed on April 24.  He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count; and nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

 

Cintron was arrested on April 29, 2019.  He is charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

 

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.

 

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
