(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - June 23, 2020 - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Timothy Daeshawn Williams, 25, of Conway, SC, on 10 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Horry County Sheriff's Office made the arrest. Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which led them to Williams.  Investigators state Williams solicited sex from a minor, engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor and encouraged a minor to produce and send sexually explicit images.

Williams was arrested on June 22, 2020. He is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree (§16-3-655(B)(2)); three counts of criminal solicitation of a minor (§16-15-342), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count; two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree (§16-15-395), a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment on each count; and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, second degree (§16-17-490), a felony offense punishable by up to three years imprisonment on each count.
