Fifteen Indicted In Lancaster Gang Case
Attorney General Alan Wilson and Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile announced today that the South Carolina State Grand Jury has indicted fifteen (15) individuals for their involvement in criminal gang activity. The gang, known as “Gasgsta Disciples,” is an organization aligned with the “Folk Nation.”
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Lancaster Police Department joined forces to create the Lancaster County Gang Task Force, and has investigated suspected gang activity in the area since 2009. The case grew to include the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Attorney General’s Office.
As a result of this investigation, the fifteen (15) suspected gang members listed below have been indicted on a total of fifty-three (53) felony crimes and three (3) misdemeanors. The charges include murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, accessory, burglary, possession of stolen goods, weapons charges, soliciting a person to participate in a criminal gang, graffiti, and criminal conspiracy.

Wilson stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
