Attorney General Alan Wilson sends letter to Flock Safety regarding their privacy and security policies

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) –Today, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson sent a letter to Flock Safety regarding their privacy and safety policies, considering public representations made by the company.

 

"It is imperative that citizens' concerns are heard and that their privacy is protected," Attorney General Wilson stated. "The instruments we use to ensure public safety should also take extra care to value the privacy of the same citizens we are protecting from crime."


The letter requests answers to questions regarding Flock’s use of artificial intelligence, restrictions on access to data, and policies regarding data retention.
