(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announces that Benjamin Ross Glenn of Union, S.C.  pleaded guilty on August 11, 2022, to one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, 2nd Degree. Judge Eugene Griffith sentenced Glenn to six years in prison, suspended to five years in prison followed by two years of probation. He was given credit for 498 days he has already served.

In November 2020, Special Investigator Kevin Atkins with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office was sent child sexual abuse material from a user of a file sharing network. After obtaining subscriber information for the user, a search warrant was executed on Glenn’s home and electronic items were seized. After a forensic examination, additional child sexual abuse material was found on the defendant’s cell phone. Glenn was also found to already be a prior sex offender from a hands-on offense with a minor child in North Carolina.

Glenn will be required to register as a Tier 2 sex offender and he consented to the forfeiture of the cell phone.
