(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - On September 5, 2023, the defense for Alex Murdaugh filed a motion for a new trial on the two counts of murder for which he was convicted.
Attorney General Alan Wilson then called on the State Law Enforcement Division to conduct an investigation into the defense's allegations of jury tampering.
