Columbia - Attorney General Alan Wilson announced today that on March 30, 2011, his office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force as part of a joint investigation with NCIS arrested Kenneth Xavier Hernandez, 23, of 30 Hutson Road in Seabrook, SC on 38 counts of child pornography.
NCIS is a member of the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Beaufort County Sheriffs’ Office also assisted with the arrest.
Hernandez is charged with thirty-eight (38) counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (§16-15-405), 2nd Degree, a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.
Hernandez is charged with possession of child pornography. Arrest warrants allege Hernandez shared various files depicting minors engaged in graphic sexual activities with investigators from both NCIS and the Attorney General’s office.
Hernandez was booked at the Beaufort County Detention Center and is being held on $760,000 bond.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
Wilson stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
