Columbia –May 22, 2012 - Attorney General Alan Wilson announced today that Michael Kenneth Noah, 32, of 130 Stillwter Drive, in Greenville, South Carolina (Anderson County address,) was arrested on May 21, 2012, by the City of Anderson Police Department in a child pornography case.
The City of Anderson Police Department is a member of the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Task Force investigators have received training on the use of special software to conduct undercover investigations related to the possession of child pornography on peer-to-peer (file sharing) networks. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
Noah is charged with ten (10) counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (§16-15-410), 3rd Degree (possession), a felony offense punishable to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.
Noah is charged with possessing digital photographs and/or videos depicting children engaged in sex acts.
Noah was assigned a bond of $25,000. A booking photo is available through the Anderson County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
Wilson stressed that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
