Greer man sentenced to 16 years for Criminal Sexual Conduct

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) – Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that David Fraser, 40, of Greer, S.C., pleaded guilty today to one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree, Incest, and Unlawful Neglect of a Child. Judge Letitia Verdin sentenced Fraser to 16 years in prison and he will be required to register as a sex offender.

In 2016, officers with the Greer Police Department responded to allegations of sexual abuse of a 15-year-old. It was reported that Fraser sexually assaulted the minor and threatened to harm her family members if she did not cooperate.

Assistant Attorney General Kinli Abee prosecuted the case with Assistant Attorney General Jerrod Fussnecker presenting the plea. The case was investigated by the Greer Police Department.
