Attorney General Announces Facebook Town Halls
Wilson, Facebook Officials to Discuss Internet Safety Tools
Columbia, S.C. September 11, 2012 South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson will host officials from Facebook at town hall meetings in Columbia and Greenville on Thursday, September 13, 2012. The events will focus on Internet safety and how citizens can be safer while using Facebook.
The town hall meetings have been scheduled for:
12:30 PM: Richland Northeast High School
Media Center
7500 Brookfield Road
Columbia, SC 29223

6:00 PM: Furman University
McEachern Lecture Hall (located within Furman Hall)

Greenville, SC, 29613
The Columbia town hall will focus on how high school students can be safer online while using social media sites like Facebook. Because this meeting takes place during the high school schedule at Richland Northeast High School, media is asked to RSVP if planning to attend.
The Greenville town hall will focus on tools available on facebook and steps that can be taken to increase internet safety. Parents, teachers, students, and all community members are invited to attend.
