Spartanburg County Man Arrested on Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Related Charges

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Joshua Tyler Holmes, 24, of Woodruff, S.C., on four charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Laurens Police Department made the arrest.  

 

Investigators state Holmes solicited and engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor, exposed private parts to a minor, and contributed to the delinquency of a minor.

 

Holmes was arrested on February 21, 2024. He is charged with one count of criminal solicitation of a minor (§16-15-342), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment; one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor (§16-3-655(B)(1)); one count of exposure of private parts lewd and lascivious (§16-15-365), a misdemeanor offense punishable by up to six months imprisonment; and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (§16-17-490), a felony offense punishable by up to three years imprisonment.

 

This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.

 

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
