DCVC Outreach Services

The Office of the Attorney General, Department of Crime Victim outreach initiatives consists of a DCVC Outreach Coordinator that performs outreach to Judicial Circuit Solicitor Offices by conducting site visits and highlighting the unique victim services provided to crime victims. Also, information regarding best practices, support and advocacy to victims are discussed, reviewed and provided to advocates; ensuring that crime victims are provided with the best quality of services while going through the criminal justice system.

The Outreach Coordinator will also assist in providing technical assistance and support to the Court Based Victim Advocates relating to their programs and assistance to crime victims.

Also, DCVC has initiated community-based outreach to include but not limited to educating and training management in salons, barbershops and spas just to name a few to ensure that they are aware of the crime victim compensation program, benefits, and services that may be available to eligible crime victims in the State.

DCVC looks forward to this new endeavor as we work together to bridge the gap in victim services and help those who are hurting.
