Who We Are

Commonly known as CVST, the Department of Crime Victim Services Training, Provider Certification, and Statistical Analysis is one of the four branches of the Crime Victim Services Division.

Our Mission is to further professionalize the field of victim services through proper training, certification of victim service providers, and analysis of relevant statistical data.

We accomplish our mission by:

  • Providing oversight of training, education, and certification of victim assistance programs
  • Publicizing training standards and requirements with the Victim Services Coordinating Council
  • Approving training curricula for credit hours toward certification
  • Providing victim service provider certification
  • Maintaining records of certified victim service providers
  • Collecting and analyzing data from relevant government agencies and private organizations
  • Publishing analyses, needs assessments, and reports
