Apply for Victim Service Provider Certification
Anyone who is employed by a local government, state agency, or SC victim assistance organization whose job duties include providing direct services to victims must be certified as a Victim Service Provider (VSP).
Certification is recommended, but not required for volunteers who provide direct services to victims.
Anyone employed by a summary court or detention center whose job duties include providing notification to crime victims must be certified as a VSP Notifier. The same form used to apply to be a VSP is used to apply to be a VSP Notifier.

VSPs can receive credit for any trainings that haven't been pre-approved by CVST provided the trainings meet CVST's accreditation standards. To receive credit, VSPs must submit their certification request and supporting documentation within 30 days of the training.
