Basic Core Trainings
To complete your VSP certification, all new Basic VSPs must complete a 15-hour Basic Core training within their first year of employment.
Basic Core trainings are hosted all year long across the state by different organizations.

You must already have a VSP number to register for a Basic Core training. To apply for a VSP number, click here.
Please note, VSPs who are employed with a children's advocacy center or a solicitor's office will receive their Basic Core training through an internal training process. If you are a VSP who specializes in human trafficking, your Basic Core training will be arranged by the SC Human Trafficking Taskforce.

CVST hosts a Basic Core Training in West Columbia, SC every October. More information will be posted here and on our main page once it becomes available.
