Ashley Bishop, Prevention Education Program Coordinator

Ashley Bishop is a Prevention Education Program Coordinator for the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force. She overseas efforts in the Lowcountry and the Pee Dee area. In her role, Ashley facilitates the TraffickProofSC Train the Trainer program for staff from Children’s Advocacy Centers as well as teachers and other school personnel. She also works to support system-involved youth by utilizing the TraffickProofSC prevention education curriculum. Ashley is also the Task Force lead for the Higher Education Subcommittee.

Prior to this role, Ashley was a public education teacher for 10 years. She worked with students across the Midlands teaching grades 6-8 Social Studies and Geography in Richland, Lexington, and Lee counties. Ashley received several awards including Teacher of the Month in 2016 and was nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2022 and 2023.

Ashley graduated from Winthrop University with a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Art History and graduated from Columbia College with a master’s degree in Divergent Learning.
