Kamron Singleton is a Human Trafficking Program Coordinator for the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force at the Office of the Attorney General. In his role, Kamron supports the Pee Dee area of the state and the Task Force Healthcare and Direct Services (Adult Focus) Subcommittees. Kamron is also the lead on statewide initiatives at the intersection of human trafficking and healthcare, including physical, mental, and behavioral health. He will also be working with South Carolina’s NGOs to develop much needed support services for adult victims of sex and labor trafficking.
Prior to joining the Task Force, Kamron worked in public health, community outreach, and program management. His work in public health included fostering grassroots relationships with community stakeholders, establishing formal partnerships between medical agencies and social service providers, and managing grant funding requirements.
Kamron’s experience also includes ensuring the use of effective disease intervention strategies and tracking community health progress. His work related to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) risk reduction included educating high-risk individuals about safe practices to avoid contracting the virus and other sexually transmitted infections.
Kamron graduated from the University of South Carolin with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology. His education coupled with his background in public health, program coordination, and community outreach positions Kamron well to apply his knowledge and experience toward improving the response to human trafficking in our state.
